Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow Radiance Creme Review

I get sucked into hype really easily and I'm not ashamed to admit that. It's one of the main reasons I purchase as much makeup as I do!

I heard about this product a while back through the very lovely Anna and I knew I had to have it. I purchased the aforementioned item from Feel Unique and when it popped through my letterbox I was NOT disappointed.

The colour I purchased was Iced Gold and it was absolutely stunning. In days gone by I had been a fan of Benefit High Beam but it was one of those products that I had a real love/hate relationship with. This, however, has become a product I hold dear to my heart.

The formula is really light, blends well and the glow it gives is really natural it doesn't look like makeup just a wonderful "lit from within" appearance. I'm also pleased to report it doesn't have any large noticeable glitter particles which makes me happy!

(L - Iced Gold, R - Rose Gold)

I know at £17 this product may seem a little steep but trust me it's well worth it and a little goes a long way! When applying it I tend to use my fingers I use it on my cheekbones, nose and cupids bow. If I have fake tanned and I'm going out I like to apply it to the décolleté for that extra bit of glow.

(L - Iced Gold, R - Rose Gold)

As you can see my Iced Gold Dewy Glow is hitting pan, however, I've since acquired the Rose Gold* and it is equally as beautiful as its paler twin. I would say that Rose Gold would be more suitable for those girlies who love to tan, it looks absolutely stunning on tanned skin, however, that being said it also looks beautiful on untanned skin too.

All in all this is a beautiful product and I wouldn't be without it now, it's one of those products that gives you a real pick me up and I'm definitley looking to purchase more items from the Jemma Kidd range in the near future.

Feel Unique Beauty Box February 2012

It's ironic that on the day I received the Feel Unique box that has impressed me most, they have decided that this will be the last one. Whilst this made me sad I truly believe that Feel Unique will come up with something even better and I look forward to it.

Anyways onto the box..the theme of this months box is "fall in love" and I have to say I pretty much did the moment I opened this months box of impressive offerings.

I have to give Feel Unique two big thumbs up for this box, each item featured was from a big name range I'm sure pretty much all of us have heard of.

1. Leighton Denny Nail Polish in Viva La Diva (4.5ml) - A gorgeous rich red, an absolutely perfect colour for Valentines Day. I have had a few LD nail polishes in the past and have always been impressed by the colour payoff and application.

2. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi Use Dry Oil (10ml) - I'm really into oils at the moment so I'm really excited to receive this and can't wait to try it, plus it smells devine.

3. Philip Kingsley Elasticizer (40ml) - This is a real cult product that I've always wanted to try but was a little put off by the price tag, I'm very excited to give this a go after hearing so many amazing things about it!

4. Decleor Phytopeel Crème Gommante Naturelle (15ml) - Another product I've been dying to try but never quite got round to it. I'm all about skincare at the moment, mainly because my skin is a mess in this horrible winter weather!

5. Elemis Lime and Ginger Hand and Body Wash (100ml) - I was recently introduced to this wonderful range after receiving a gift set at Christmas. So I was more than delighted to see this in my box, a really generous size and the smell is just intoxicating!

Extra: Jean Paul Gaultier Kokorico sample (1ml) - Smells interesting I think this is an aftershave but I'd certainly use it.

Incase you couldn't tell I am absolutely delighted with this months box it has a great range of products that I have tried or have wanted to try. This box and the December Glossy Box are probably my favourite ones I've ever received if I'm totally honest.

Opening this box has left a somewhat bittersweet taste in my mouth because on one hand I LOVE it but on the other it leaves me wondering what other delights could have been awaiting us? I suppose from the Feel Unique point of view it is better to go out on a high!

I've used Feel Unique a few times in the past and have always been impressed with the service they give. I look forward to seeing what they have instore for us beauty addicts in the near future.

So with that said it is with great sadness I bid the wonderful Feel Unique Beauty Box...adieu xx

What did you think of is months box? How do you feel about the demise of it? Which box or boxes will you subscribe to now?

Review: Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum

Like many of you I have used and absolutely adored Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation. I think it's a really wonderful formula that gives the skin a beautiful glow and I have repurchased it twice since discovering it last summer.

However, word spreads fast in the blogging world and soon there was whispers of a new version of the much loved, high street product. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum boasted even better things than its predecessor so I knew I'd have to give it a go.

Bourjois Healthy Mix serum claims to give your skin '16 hours of radiance boosting vitamins that give you an even, revived complexion' and it certainly does give the skin a beautiful glow without looking oily.

The finish is semi-matt but definitely buildable. I tend to have to use another half pump around my t-zone due to oiliness in this area but it never looks cakey and blends into the skin well, my shade was 52 Vanilla which was a perfect match for me.

#52 Vanilla unblended

I know alot of people aren't sure about the scent but I love it. It's very fruity and fresh without being too overpowering, however, if you have a thing about strongly scented cosmetics you may want to steer clear.

With regards to longevity, this foundation, is pretty decent. I can't honestly say it lasted for 16 hours but on my oily complexion it lasted well over 6 hours which isn't too bad at all!

#52 Vanilla blended

If I had to chose between the foundation and serum I'd have to say I think I'd chose the original formula but only marginally. I find the original has slightly more coverage which ultimately means it lasts longer on my oil prone skin, it is also less dewy which I prefer!

All in all I'd give Bourjouis Healthy Mix Serum 8/10. It's a great foundation in terms of price and formula that I would definitely repurchase.

Have you used this foundation? Have you used both of the healthy mix foundations? Which did you prefer?

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Review....

I think I must have been living under a rock or something because until the middle of last year I hadn't heard of, The Holy Grail of bronzers, Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel formerly Bronze Universel.

When I finally did hear about it it was because a friend was having withdrawal symptoms because hers had run out and she couldn't find it anywhere. Apparently it has been pretty much sold out in the UK since the summer and if you do find one you should consider yourself very lucky.

I didn't really think about it again until I got really into watching YouTube gurus and reading beauty blogs. During this period I saw the wonderful Vivianna Does Makeup and Lily Melrose, to name but a few, wax lyrical about it.

When it came to bronzers I had only really gotten into them in the last year, I don't really fake tan much but I do like a good matt bronzer for contouring the face. I decided I was going to make a point of treating myself to this item but little did I know how hard it was going to be to get my paws on it!

After alot of perseverance and patience I finally managed to find some on StrawberryNet. I have heard some mixed reviews on this particular site and I had to pay a little extra but I just really wanted my bronzer damnit!

When it finally came I was way too excited the packaging was stunning just classic Chanel, very beautiful and elegant.

The first thing I noticed about this product, apart from the fact it looked good enough to eat, was the gorgeous scent. It's very light and smells similar to apricots but not too overpowering.

When I first swatched the product I was slightly alarmed it looked very orangey and I am very pale. I had visions of myself becoming an employee at Willy Wonkas chocolate factory!

The texture of the product is hard to explain it feels sort of wet in the tub but goes on like a cream with a very blendable formula. I really loved how it applied and I've been using a MAC 129 to put on the product, however, I may invest in a contour brush with more density because my 129 is shedding a fair bit and I feel the product would work even better with a more suitable brush.

I have only really used the product as a contour but it can be used with your foundation to give a fabulous summer glow and if your lucky enough to have a nice tan you can use it to give the colour more depth.

The main thing I love about this product is how easy it is to use it blends like a dream and makes me appear to have killer cheekbones a la Keira Knightley!

It is pricey £29 for 30g of product, however, to me this is totally justified. A little of the product goes a long way and because of the wonderful formula it will definitely last a while.

A few of the girls at various Chanel counters told me there's been an issue with packaging and that's why it's been so difficult to obtain at the moment. However, fear not bronzed goddesses it should be back in stock come February.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences with this product.
